The ‘Gold Standard’ flame retardant balaclava is designed and developed specifically for protection against flame and extreme heat by tactical operators entering burning buildings. Made from specially knitted heavy duty weight Nomex™ Gold material, engineered to provide enhanced protection and durability. Using the same material as the base layer top and long johns, this open face balaclava completes the full ensemble of heavy duty protection. It can be worn under ballistic headgear, featuring an extended collar that overlaps the base layer. Offering the highest level of radiated heat protection available to tactical operators, this operational clothing is currently in use.
